Day 2. Second Stop: Eden Nature Park - one of my favorite places in Davao. We woke up late, tired from the previous day. By 08:00hrs, we left for Eden Nature Park located at Toril. We took a jeepney ride which was about 45 minutes then rented a motorcab which cost us Php100 each headed for Eden Nature Park. The long road to Eden was fun. Take into account that we almost got soaked in the rain - good thing manong driver borrowed a big umbrella from a fellow motorcab driver in a nearby neighborhood.
When we reached the entrance to Eden Nature Park, we were greeted by the Guard and gave us our reservation number. By the way, reservations are required to enter Eden Nature Park. I called their reservations office prior to our visit. We were guest no. 18!
Upon payment of our Entrance Fee - a choice between plated snacks (Php200) or buffet lunch (Php470) and payment for a guided tour at Php 120 each, we were given coupons and a guide map.
The Reception Area, Restaurant, and Souvenir Shop.
The guided tour started at 09:30hrs.
Three stops: Rainbow Pass, Tinubdan, and Lola's Garden.
I enjoyed the guided tour. We were really glad we took the tour because it was impossible to tour an 80-hectare of land on foot for just an hour! We had a tour guide and there was a voice over explaining the areas we pass by.
The Hydroponic Vegetable Garden and the Rainbow Pass
The Amphitheatre, Mickey Mouse plant, and Matino Falls
The Tinubdan
End of the guided tour. We were not able to get photos of other areas we passed by like the Philippine Deer, The Cottages, The Camp Site,The Man-made Forest, and the Swimming Pool which was at the Peak of Eden Nature Park because it was hard to take clear photos while on mobile. Maybe on our next visit then. ^-^
The Aviary
Rain started to pour again really hard so we never got to visit Butterfly Garden or take a closer look of the Pinoy Games - blamed myself for not bringing an umbrella.
The Butterfly Garden, and Pinoy Games
Buffet Lunch was already available by 11:30hrs. So we took our sumptuous meal. They serve delicious food.
Buffet Lunch
Before we headed for our next destination, we finished the tour on foot.
The Fishing Village,and the Chapel
The Eden Fields
I wished we stayed over the night. We could have enjoyed the place more. But I had great fun on our Day Tour. We left at around 13:00hrs.
Eden Nature Park has a lot to offer.
