The Magic Stays With You

My long time dream travels to Hong Kong Disneyland and Hello Kitty World, plus Universal Studios in Singapore are still ...well.. dreams. Sing with me now, "A dream that you wish will come true...". Someday.

But for now, my footsteps led me to no less than a magical place in my very own country -- THE Enchanted Kingdom! One magical place to be!

Oh yes, another planned side trip with Liezel. And i invited my colleagues to join us. The child inside me was all giddy to walk into this enchanting place.

And finally, the moment came. The entrance was right before my eyes! Tickets purchased at Php386.00 for All Rides. It was on a discounted rate. They had this ongoing Independence Day & Laguna Day promo. We'd have wanted to be there on its very first hour. But they were not open until 2pm because the place was closed for an exclusive event. Anyhow, we intended to be awed until closing time.

And Hello EK! Wow...the place was crowded. I guess everyone needed the magic EK could give. I knew I wanted that day to be just carefree, fun, and happy living the dream.

Ooopsy. Long lines in almost all rides! Whew. Unfortunately we never got to be in all the rides. It took us more or less 30 minutes to wait for our ride - a repeat situation in every ride we had. And it rained in the afternoon 'til evening. Still, the magic must go on.

tickets purchased

Bump cars! the last time i saw these cool stuff was in the 90's. We failed to ride in one of these. The line was so long.

The Extreme. The moment I saw them drop, my decision not to ride was irrevocable. Scaredy cat!

Up Up and Away. Our very first hot air balloon ride!

The Wheel of Fate. The view from the top was awesome.

Picture taking with the Swans.

Look at that frightened me!

My suicide. The Space Shuttle. I knew I was not into extreme adventure. And this ride just confirmed my feelings. Literally breath taking! I felt I was going to lose my breath any moment. But I survived! Haha! Momentarily paralyzed, yes.

The Grand Carousel. We were on this spot when the fireworks lighted the evening sky. Magical.

The Flying Fiesta. I love the feel of the cool air on my face when we were afloat and flying.

The box office ride I should say. Rio Grande Rapids. My favorite Ride! I didn't mind getting wet and wet because I enjoyed it. It was worth the loooong wait.

An afternoon shot of the Rapids. See that falls? I was the lucky one to be on that spot.

The Haunted Mansion. I had a great loud aaaaahhh! when we entered. Those horror characters just know how to scare you.

The Log Jam. And so I thought the extreme was over. Waaaah! This was another scare. The angle were your log will be dropped was very steep. I so wanted to pass out again.

The Log Jam. View from the top.

The Entrance. Closing time.

We were wet and exhausted when we left the park. But it was nothing compared to the great experience we had in Enchanted Kingdom. Truly, the magic stays with you.

Thanks to Liezel, Charlotte, Robin, and Ms. Madel for the wonderful time!

Mochicreme

Discovered something deliciously good when we went to Abreeza Mall - our Fifth and final stop for Day 2. We left People's Park, took dinner at Barbeque Boss, and headed to Abreeza Mall by 19:30hrs.

Abreeza Mall is the first Ayala Mall in Mindanao - recently opened early of May 2012.

We roamed around Abreeza Mall out of curiosity. Jiemar wasw particularly interested with the sports and shoe shops and I, with one stall at the 2nd floor of the building - Mochicreme: a Japanese Ice Cream. I was totally attracted to the candy-colored stall and got even more interested when I took a peep. And told myself, "why oh why is the ice cream not melting?".

To make the story short, I bought 1 piece of Blue Vanilla scoop, took a bite, and brain freeze! And yum yum yum yum! So why did it not melt? because it was coated with something like tikoy or something similar to it.

I was not contented with just one. I wanted to try all but settle to try the strawberry flavored mochicreme.

Pair it with a cute packaging, eating mochicreme is one fun experience. ^-^ Well yeah, it was the best memory in Abreeza mall.

And so I'm back from Outer space!

... and got myself tanned! Unintentionally. I just got back from my most-awaited trip to Davao last Saturday night.

See that line on my shoulder?

Realizations during this tiring but fulfilling trip:

1. Wear comfortable shoes; Never rely on slippers alone when you're touring 80 hectares of land. I got a feet sore after our trip from Eden Nature Park.

2. Must bring extra clothes and a face towel and umbrella! Expect the unexpected. We almost got soaked in the rain and felt the burn from the sun's heat.

3. Good to take down notes. Thanks to my ever reliable handy dandy notebook. I mentioned I prepared for the trip: scribbled down notes and directions of where we planned to go. We only traveled from places to places riding a public transportation. Proud to say we never got lost.

4. Never shy away from asking directions. Better ask than get lost in a foreign city.

5. Stick to your budget. You don't have to be an extravagant tourist. Enjoy the simple joys of taking picture perfect memories of the places you wanted to visit. The best thing.

Our 3 days, 2 nights trip to the Land where Durian Reigns was a blast! Rain or shine, sweat-soaked, feet sore, bloopers, and more - I really had a tiring but great, great time!

Polyvore Creations

Recently, I learned about this website from a fellow blogger Whiskey.Tango.Foxtrot. - POLYVORE.

"Polyvore is the web's largest community of tastemakers where people can express their style and set trends around the world. Trendseekers and shoppers alike come to Polyvore to discover the hottest brands, products, trends and looks." (source: Polyvore FAQ)
To date, I have created 5 sets of my own fashion sense which I based from Cake and Ice Cream Flavors - just to put a "taste" to it.

I'm greatly enjoying this.
Polyvore lets out my own  Fashion Cravings.

DO you have a Polyvore page? Here's mine: Pritsininni.
